Lamb Carcasses
We process bagged lamb carcasses.
Frozen or Chilled for sea or air freight.
Meeting customers specifications including carcass sizes and fat cover.
Casings
At Castricum Brothers we process only the best quality lamb and therefore our casing are
consistently of the
highest quality:
The majority of our casings come from cross-bred lambs.
We also process small volumes of Merino lamb casings and mutton casings.
Casings are packed and frozen on site.
Packed 30 casings per carton.
Available in 20ft. FCL lots (around 24,000 casings).
Ovine Meat Meal & Tallowl
Castricum brothers produces meat meal and
tallow through its Rendering Plant.
Tallow is the melted fat from rendered animal bones and soft tissues.
Ovine meat meal is the dried meat, bone and blood from rendered animal bones and soft tissue
which is used in the manufacturing of Pet food for Dogs and Cats.
Our rendering plant is accredited with the Australian Renderers Association.
Ovine meat meal specifications
Protein: 50 - 55%
Fat: 10 - 15%
Moisture: 5 - 7%
Ash: 20 -26%
Fibre: 0.5 - 1.5%
Tallow specifications
FFA: 2 - 4%
MIU: 1% Max
Bleach Colour: 1.5% Red
FAC: 19 - 21% Max
